From November 24th to November 26th, 75 researchers came to ESCP Berlin to make art, cook together, and discuss effectuation in teaching and practice. This happens nowhere but the 7th Effectuation Conference. What exciting days we had!

This year’s conference welcomed Saras Sarasvathy, Shabnam Mousavi, and Stuart Read. Professor Saras D. Sarasvathy, who was coined the term “effectuation”, focuses on strategy, entrepreneurship and ethics. Shabnam Mousavi is an interdisciplinary scientist exploring human choice behavior. Professor Stuart Read is an entrepreneur in high technology and focuses his research on effectuation.

The highlights of the 7th Effectuation Conference were an art and food experience led by the Berlin-based artist Jörg Reckhenrich, a keynote by Shabnam Mousavi, an “Effectual Dinner” hosted by Factory Berlin Görlitzer Park, and an effectual fish bowl.
